Goals 2.0 is a football management game run by one person. This page says what the game keeps about you and what happens to it.

What an account is

An account is a username you pick, the manager and club names you type, and a password if you choose to set one. Passwords are stored scrambled and cannot be read back by anyone, including us. The game never asks for your email address, your real name, or a payment card.

The game also keeps your squad, your saved tactics, and the matches you finish, so that both managers can rewatch the games they played together.

What the game does not do

It shows no ads and runs no analytics or trackers. It sets no cookies: signing in stores a token in your own browser, and clearing your browser data removes it. The server keeps only a scrambled copy of that token and forgets any token unused for a year.

Where your data lives

On a server in the European Union, reached through Cloudflare. It is not shared with or sold to anyone.

Deleting your account

Everything stays until you delete it. The Delete account button, at the bottom of the menu once you are signed in, removes your names, your password, and your squad on the spot, and frees your username for someone else. Finished matches remain in your opponents' match history, because those games belong to them too; your side appears there as a disbanded club, with none of your details attached.

Questions

Write to help@gooooooal.com about anything on this page, or about your data in general, and you will get an answer from the person who runs the game. The same address is where you ask for a recovery code if you are ever locked out.
